In 1974, Girton Girl's School and King's College united under a vision for quality, inclusive co-education. In 2024, we celebrate their incredible legacy and embrace the next chapter in the Pembroke story.
In celebration of this milestone, Pembroke has partnered with Imperial Measures Distilling's distiller, owner
and old scholar David Danby to collaboratively produce a unique and special gin to commemorate the occasion.
This Gin was crafted to capture the spirit of diversity of Pembroke's global community, showcasing native botanicals from all corners of the world.
Juniper, coriander seed, angelica, orris and liquorice root provide a sturdy backbone from which layers of spice including cardamom seed and mace are delicately intertwined with Rosella flower and musk seed. This is supported with Kaffir lime leaf and lavender leading to a soft finish of pistachio and lime peel. Many other botanicals from around the globe also feature throughout the recipe.
This delicious, soft and complex spirit pairs perfectly with Fever-Tree Mediterranean tonic with the addition of a wheel of fresh lime and a sprig of mint.
From Pembroke and Imperial Measures Distilling, we hope you thoroughly enjoy sharing this with your nearest and dearest.
Cheers to Pembroke's 50th Anniversary.
The Pembroke 50th Anniversary Gin is a fundraising initiative of the Pembroke Parents’ and Friends’ Association.
